Just testing for future reference. Oh Yeah! I am going to this bout, but right now, just testing this posting method.

And this is how you say F#@K off PiG, nicely.
So, I saw what I saw, said what I said and answered the questions asked of me.
although I completely disagree with many of your points I appreciate your feedback and will share it with my league and coach via our private forum.
I read your post mortem and want to remind you that we are NOT a WFTDA team although we do abide by their rules. Nor was this a sanctioned WFTDA bout.
I personally am perplexed at the level of alleged "renegade play" I never once was hit hard enough that it makes an impression. I did see calls being missed and miss-called on both sides but really I think that happens in every bout.
I witnessed some bad reffing in the past and am in no way saying that our reffing was top-notch...but TVRG didn't bring a single ref with them and took responsibility for that when they decided to forfeit. Ryrid also offered up a passive or positional blocking only game as a compromise but they respectfully declined that as well.
I don't see their call as brave or well timed. I see it as giving up. It is presumptuous to say that it was well timed to prevent injuries and don't all bouts have an increase for injury during any portion of a passionately played game?
I think that you said it was brutal in a tough to watch way. FYI no RCRD ladies were complaining at our 10am practice the next day about any aches or pains, no one felt as if TVRG was hitting very hard at all. Maybe we're just blinded by our past bouts but this one didn't seem that rough or tough to me and plenty of my fellow skaters.
There were also a significant number of TVRG skaters that really wanted to finish the bout. RCRD wants to bout them on their own turf, with their own officials, and their home crowd. We still want to hit them agressively and win...they can even tack on the extra 20 min if they want to. And if they beat us by 100 or by 1 we will finish the game and not give up.
oh well!
see ya soon

Like she says...Oh well! LoL!
Since I am big fan of passive agressive dismal bullshit, I thought I would post the response to my responding email reply regarding the Rainy City bout from MissMelMangles:

In the iThurtson blog he clearly blames the worst element of all...Refs from OrEgOn!
It is a good play by play recap...as long as we glaze over the 300lb elephant in the room.

To Eject and To Serve
So I have done my job for my the Coroner'sInquest and struggled with being able to do a recap versus telling the story...I told the story. It actually pisses me off that I couldn't concentrate on the bout at hand because of the horrible officiating that that was going on.

Betties/Gunts CR@P?
So having done my primary duty to the Coroner's Inquest. I thought I would tell my "In the Stands" tale for the bout. It was a hot subject last week in the post Heathers loss to High Rollers blog post. I thought is was funny last night because I was in the midst of rabid GnR fans and seat cushion stealing Breakneck Betties Fans. The latter first...
Last month I came back from half time to find my spread out program, water bottle and Empty PBR had been moved. This usual seat securing strategy had failed and the people sitting where I had been played dumb. Okay, it wasn't act, they were actually stupid. I found a spot behind them and did my best Passive aggressive Dick thing through the balance of the second half.
The next bout I bought seat cushions in hopes that they would be a stronger message to seat stealing dumbasses.
At the BB vs GnR bout with my old derby buddy Matt Cook. We arrived to the stands threw down the cushions in my usual hangar spot in turn one. Ready to get our derby on. We had sat next to a draped out checkered scarf, it was clear we had what appeared to be three Betties fans coming. As the bout started what showed up was four elder folks being seated by someone from the near by Betties bench. "Can you guys scoot over?" This left me with little more than half a seat on one bleacher, next to some hipster douchebag and Matt seated on the other bleacher. Two big guys, a cute Bear couple if we were gay, crammed into 3/4 of a seat each.
Well this makes me extra bitchy, especially this year. Because I am cocky about not only being a ViP season ticket holder but holder of Rockstar passes #1 & 2. But we played it cool, they were mothers, father and grandmother so there was no need for me to be a douche.
Per usual, I got up with two minutes left in the half to beat the crowd to the Honey Buckets. Matt and I hung out in the parking lot, shit talking and beer drinking until the second half was about to begin.
Upon return to the stands, there was only ONE cushion in place. Thankfully both little seats where still there but where the hell was the cushion? Well Pops sitting next to Matt had grabbed up the cushion for Grandma. He started to make the aged old woman get up off the cushion. So good citizen I am, I suggested she use it for the balance of the bout. Now I am not trying to say "Hey look at what a good guy I am" and sadly I think it might make me appear to be a jerk, but frankly it was annoying. Like I had any real option but let the old lady use the damn thing. I guess part of it was I wasn't asked but put in that position that I am feeling pissy about it.
In thie "Help Yourself World", I'm just glad we didn't leave full beers, because I don't think Grandma could have handled a full 16oz of PBR goodness.
Then there was the "Rowdy GnR" fans behind us.
Since the second half saw the decimation of the GnR's leading of the bout. The GnR fans behind us stepped up their cheers and vocal displeasure with the level of play and officiating. It was colourful and funny.
Now a week before on the Heathers blog some "anonymous" wrote about being turned off by GnR skaters cheering in the crowd. HERE I learned through Nader in that blog thread that Roller Derby is "PG-13". I was shocked. For four seasons I have been in the stands yelling some horrible shit. With no apologize, LOL!
My favourite Defense chat is : "Assholes and Elbows! Let play a little defense!!!"
And my daughter clearly remembers one golden PBR moment during the '07 Championship bout where all I could muster was "FUCK the BETTIES!!!" over and over. Frankly it's not my "least proudest" derby moment...LoL!
So the concept of it being PG 13 was a surprise.
I also know I am not alone is my foulness in the stands and frankly as long as their no "little Ones"...and teenagers certainly don't count as kids, I see nothing wrong with it.
So this crew of what I think was, "would be" or "once was" skaters sitting in the stand behind us was dropping F bombs and high volume. Both Matt and I were actually amused by some of the crap they were spewing and every now then we'd turn look. They were actually "apologizing" to us, they would try and tone it down for a bit, but the GnR skills turned to pathetic towards the end and they could not surpress it for long.
I note this NOT because offense but because of the apologies. In fact I heard someone else say to one of them "PG-13". So that left me wondering if they had been privy to the blog or if someone in the league had mentioned something about the blog's subject matter.
So none that matters, just my stupid bout stories of what was an awesome bout. Oh I don't like me some Betties, but they did an amazing job and the derby fan in me can NOT slight them for that.

First of all...

So I have a forum to discuss the Roller Derby team I love, the Coroner's Inquest. I do love me some Heartless Heathers but first and foremost I love the Sport of Roller Derby. The NEW generation, the rough and tumble Womans Flat Track variety in particular. So my idea of starting this blog we to give myself a venue to spew my crap, less focused on "MY TEAM" and more of an open forum for my rants.
